Signature Downtown Walking Tour

This can be you when you book our Signature Downtown Walking Tour. Walk with us where pirates, pilgrims, and famous explorers walked. Learn about Christopher Columbus' landing in The Bahamas and even famous American Governors and the American refugees who came to live in The Bahamas after the American war of Independence broke out in 1776. Not only is our tour historical but also cultural as we take you to the various hotspots for local rum and wine tasting. You'll see the best parts of our culture as we walk the lively streets of Nassau as you take in the ambiance. Your tour even includes a free food snack which is a delicacy here and the cost of the tour is practically complimentary. Our stops include Parliament Square of The Bahamas, Christ Church Cathedral, Government House which is the residence of the Governor General, Graycliff Resorts for chocolate, wine and cigar sampling, The National Art Gallery of The Bahamas, and John Watlings Rum Distillery.

Bahamas Foodie Tour
On this vehicle tour, guests travel from restaurant to restaurant on a foodie hop sampling various local Bahamian delicacies & delights from various chefs and cooks around the island. You'll have dishes like Bahamian Peas n' rice, Bahamian style Mac n' Cheese which is slightly different from the American version, Conch Fritters, Conch Salad, Cracked Conch, Guava Duff, Bahamian Grouper, Bahamian Fried Snapper, Grilled Snapper, Johnny Cake, Bahamian Breakfasts like Boiled Fish which is totally unique to The Bahamas and more. The tour is totally customizable so you can have breakfast instead of lunch if you like. The list of items on the menu of restaurants is immense and if you have no idea what any of these dishes are that were previously mentioned then just do a quick Google search for a better understanding then come see us! Pirates Rum & Wine Tour
As we know from history, pirates loved to drink rum. Besides being a recreational drink, rum was essential to pirates to stave off scurvy and also to make fresh water palatable to drink after is sat so long on a boat and became stale. This tour hits up local rum and craft beer producers here in the country. We also visit local bars so you can get a feel of the Bahamian social scene. What can a rum tour be without a stop for some rum cake? We'll stop along the way at various eateries so you can get tastings of the Bahamas' world famous rum cakes.

Holistic & Wellness Tour
The Bahamas has always been a place for healing & wellness. Historically we have used folk and alternative holistic healing practices to heal those unwell in the country. The history of wellness goes back even to the opening of the Royal Victoria Hotel in 1860, which was opened with the intent of providing lodging for guests to come to a warmer climate like the Bahamas and get well away from the colder northern weather. Before modern medicine became a mainstay in the country, the elders practiced a form of herbal medicine by identifying local trees and botanicals for medicinal use and making teas or decoctions from the plants. This history of herbal medicinal tea drinking is still practiced widely in the country. On this tour, we will take you to various herbal outlets that practice holistic and alternative medicine like the elders did.

Heritage and Culture Tour
This tour has a little bit of everything. You hit all the major spots in the Downtown area like the famous forts, and you also get a little bit of current culture, past history and more. There is even food tasting along the way. The major stops are Queen Victoria's statue (The 66 steps), Fort Fincastle, The Water Tower, Parliament Square, Graycliff Resort for wine tasting, artisan chocolates and cigars, John Watling's Distillery for rum tasting, Tasy Teas Herbal Tea Shop and more. Rendezvous Tours Nassau is the vision of myself, Archie Burrows. I started this tour company in 2022 in order to fulfill a mission to offer great hospitality services in the Commonwealth of The Bahamas. Every time I take a group of guests out on a tour I feel like I'm on vacation as well. Touring will always be one of may favourite things to do.
